I think there is a huge gulf in cultural norms between Islamic societies and our own. Perhaps it has something to do with the male-dominated society that this type of "fiery rhetoric" is the norm to express one's opinions.
Unless that one is the President of Iran - a subtlety lost on Ahmadinejad.
